I've Been using the same keyboard for years now. A keyboard I love so much I went out of my way to get a back up in case something ever happened to it. Well Something did. Long story short a truck ran one over.

Unfortunately because I wanted to be special I learned how to touch type and code of this layout... A 60% JIS with cherry MXgreens. Now that I look back on it that was stupid of me because I keep screwing up when I am not on a JIS layout.

I was eyeballing the lenovo keyboard with the track point and JIS layout. Does anyone know how the feel is on it. Is it like the godteir keyboards that came on the t420's and t430's. Is it forgiving for idiots like me that smash type?

I had to look up a link to describe the JIS layout, because I have never used it: https://deskthority.net/wiki/ANSI_vs_JIS

Are you actually using that layout to type Japanese, or did you just choose the JIS layout and usually type Western/European text?
