After installing Zadig for the keyboard, the keyboard no longer types (Windows).

Flash mode still works, and keyboard seems to respond, but cannot output any characters.

What's wrong? And how do I fix it?

This often happens when the Zadig driver is installed incorrectly. By incorrectly, I mean by not putting the keyboard into flash mode before installing the driver.

Instead, you may have replaced the HID driver Windows already installed for your keyboard. This will cause all keypresses to be ignored by Windows. Re-flashing your keyboard will not fix this problem.

To remedy this problem, you have to remove the driver you mistakenly installed for your keyboard. Here is an example of how to remove a device driver:

Now, unplug the keyboard, and plug it back it. Your keyboard should now work (if it was working before). Next, to properly install Zadig, please follow the instructions carefully for your keyboard as it indicates the keyboard must be in flash mode before installing Zadig.
