Hi I have the recent whitefox and everything works great with window 10 where I can flash the whitefox and everything else, but when I have it plug into my Lenovo Window 7, it won't allot the lenovo to get pass the Lenovo Boot Page, unless unplugging, and plug in after window 7 have started. I tried flashing the with zadig to have lisusb for api, boot, and even usb port. Please let me know if driver from whitefox is preventing window 7 boot.

Hmm. This sounds like a BIOS/UEFI issue. Do you have a link to your specific Windows 7 Lenovo computer? Drivers won't prevent the computer from booting.

Hi Haata, it's a Lenovo X260 with Window X Professional.

It would hung at the Lenovo Boot page. I put the laptop on the Dock, and have tried connecting directly to the laptop, as well as dock but no luck.

I'm going to see if I can find an option, but there may be some USB keyboard (or even USB legacy) related BIOS/UEFI option. See if you can disable them, or look to see if there is a BIOS/UEFI update available.

Also try disabling USB UEFI BIOS Support (

I've created a debug binary for the True Fox layout here. This disables all of the extra USB descriptors (only keyboard one's remain).

Please load this firmware using dfu-util to your keyboard (it's possible to do this through the Kiibohd Configurator, on the flash firmware screen, change to the bin file linked below).

If this doesn't help, I have some more ideas to try.

Just wanted to come here to say I had the same issue with my work computer. It's a Lenovo ThinkPad E470 with Windows 10 Enterprise. I followed instructions I found online, but couldn't get

my computer to the Windows log in screen. It would spin up, but the screen would remain completely black. (I am also using a laptop dock This first bin file I flashed fixed my issue. I didn't run into the issue with losing my layout.

So, THANK YOU so much for fixing this! I can use my work laptop with ease!! You all are the best!!

This is another binary to try, it includes a ton of USB protocol fixes. Use dfu-util to flash the binary file to your keyboard. These changes will all be going into the main configurator.

Let me know if this one helps.

Hi Haata, the first file work and it got me boot page work, but all the button layout for my whitefox was wipe out for all the layer configuration that I did. When i do put the bin file into dfu-utl folder, the bin file itself always reset my button configurator, so I am having to choose.

So the file in this one worked? (once I know which one, I can start to figure out how to get it into the configurator)

Hi Haata, Sorry for the delay, have been out of the country and did not bring my whitefox to test. The file below works. I think I might be loading the configurator wrong as it is commented that it works for Thinkpad E470.

Thanks a ton (this helps me a lot). I'll see if I can put together a guide on how to make this binary using the configurator (AFAIK, all the software is already in place, so it's just a configuration setup).
