The stabilizers in my K-Type are rattly. How do I make them not be so noisy? Can I lube them or change them?

Yes you can make them better. Here are a two ways that people have used:

  • Purchase new genuine Cherry stabilizers from a vendor.

    • Replace the wire in the K-Type with the ones purchased
    • Replace both the wire and the housing with the genuine Cherry stabilizers purchased
  • Add some scotch tape to the stabilizer bars where they lock in to the housings (a very small amount, one turn should do it)

Make sure if you buy new stabilizers that you get the plate-mounted kind :) Input Club also made a video on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AstfR...

Try teflon plumbers tape. It won't get gummy or sticky. You can find it at the hardware store.
